Support for All Older Versions of Internet Explorer Ends January 12
After January 12, 2016, Microsoft will only support Internet Explorer 11 and later.
What this means:Microsoft will no longer be providing security updates for their older browsers.
What this means to you and your company: If you are not using IE 11, your computers will be more vulnerable to security hacks.
Time to panic: No. but you need to upgrade, even if you don’t use the browser because the IE browser brings with it a bunch of software components that are used by the operating system for various purposes.
What if I am running Vista or XP: IE 11 can’t run on these operating systems and we should be discussing a migration strategy to Windows 7 or later.
